Challenge #14 - Winner

Hello there! So sorry for the delay on the winner's post - I have been jet setting for work in Europe and the US, and am just catching my breath now. But let's see who is getting a nod of approval this week!

Without further ado, the top tangle for the anything goes challenge is Nikki!

Congratulations, Nikki! Your hard work on laying down a gorgeous bed of sequins really paid off. We hope you had fun making this card!

Please email neatandtangledstamps(at)gmail.com and let us know which stamp set you would like. And feel free to display the "top tangle" badge on your blog!

There were a few other projects that caught our eye that we thought deserved some recognition, so here are the honorable mentions, or as we like to call them, the "lovely little tangles"!

Say Hello to the NEW Little Tangles Design Team!

First of all, I want to thank everyone who applied to the design team call. I was so honored that so many talented crafters want to join the Neat and Tangled family. I wish I could have picked a limitless design team!

But now I am thrilled to introduce to you the 4 new girls joining the team!

Hi there! My name is Charlene Bopp.  I live in New Jersey with my awesome husband and two adorable young kids. I work as a clinical research associate by day and a paper crafter in my spare time, usually when the kids are asleep. My other hobbies include having fun with my family, cooking, and photography.  I love stamps, markers, pretty papers, cool embellishments and coffee. I have been a big fan of Neat and Tangled ever since I got my first bag of sequins. Oh my goodness, they are the best!  Their stamps are as awesome as the sequins. I am so happy to be on the Little Tangles Design Team. Thanks very much for this great opportunity!

I
began creating my own cards when my mother invited me to attend a stamping convention in the late 1990s.  I had no idea what to expect; I was overwhelmed with the different types of inks and papers, yet I left that day with lots of papers, inks, and stamps.  When I returned home I went in search of a local stamp store to take classes.  I was working full time teaching middle and high school math, so I only had a little time to craft even on the weekends.  A few years later I gave birth to fraternal twin girls and I became a SAHM; I missed teaching, so I began teaching classes at stamp stores.  On June 1, 2007 I started a blog as a way to share my creations with my crafty friends.  After just a few months, challenge blogs began to emerge and I enjoyed participating whenever I had time play along.  What a fun way to make friends from all over the globe who share the same passion!  There are so many talented crafters and so much inspiration to be found.  My crafting has evolved over the years to include patterned papers and different embellishments.  My most recent obsession is sequins :)

I have been married to my college sweetheart, Doug Houck, for nearly 22 years.  Doug is a wonderful husband and father and is completely supportive of my paper and stamp hobby/therapy.  He even knows a few crafty terms, like vellum, acetate, card stock, and patterned paper (yeah, he's a keeper!)  Before we were married one of my students gave me two kittens (my first set of twins LOL), and I named them Sadie & Skeeziks.  Our furry children lived to be 14yo & 22yo, respectively!  We have had many happy years when it was just us and our furry children, but also lots of fun when our non-furry children came along.  Our twin girls are nearly 11yo.  The only thing I like better than paper play is our family time in the evenings and on weekends.

I'm a thirty-something gal living on Canada's beautiful east coast, in Moncton, New Brunswick. I live with my cat Rosie who not only supportive of my cardmaking efforts but also keeps me laughing at her antics. I work full-time as an Engineering Technologist for one of Canada's largest telecommunications providers. My down time is spent playing with papers, inks, dies and trims! I've been papercrafting since 2009 and started blogging about it in 2011. Photography is also a love of mine. I'm no pro, but I do my best. I'm so happy to be part of the Little Tangles Challenge DT and am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a talented group of designers...and to do it with Danielle's fabulous stamps?! Pinch me! I look forward to sharing my creativity with you and hopefully inspiring you to play along with us each challenge!

Hi, It's Amy! I'm so excited to be part of the Little Tangles Team!  I live in Washington State. I'm the proud mother of two lovely kids and am engaged to "thee most spectacular guy" who supports my crafting obsession. I work full-time, have been blogging since 2007. I absolutely love being part of this crafting community!!

And we also have one carry over from the previous term, Ren-Yi Lo, who is serving as our fearless DT coordinator ;)

Ren-Yi Lo
Hello everyone - first off, thank you so much for this amazing opportunity to continue on with the Little Tangles Design Team. I am looking forward to getting to know my new teammates!

For a few little fun facts about myself: I am a foodie and crafting addict. Be it baking, cooking, crocheting, cross-stitching or paper crafting, I am always up for trying something new. I'm currently trying to expand my paper crafting horizons with some scrapbooking and there is an upcoming glass beading workshop I am dying to try out.

I am a Software Engineer by day, so my creative monster comes out at night and weekends. If my experiments involves the kitchen or the outside grill, then my family, friends and boyfriend become my guinea pigs taste testers. My other vices include retail therapy by shopping for crafting supplies, too much TV (while crafting) and listening to music (while cooking).

I live in New Jersey and love the many outdoorsy opportunities, such as kayaking, biking, or hiking. Most of it is chronicled on my wee little blog space called Smallhanded Adventures. Please don't be shy and feel free to stop by to say hi. If there is any one thing I have learned about the blog world is how awesome the online community is. I have been so lucky to make some new lasting friendships along the way. And I welcome any new connections :)
