What a stunning card!

Please email neatandtangledstamps(at)gmail.com and let us know which stamp set you would like. And feel free to display the "top tangle" badge on your blog!

There were a few other projects that caught our eye that we thought deserved some recognition, so here are the honorable mentions, or as we like to call them, the "lovely little tangles"!

Challenge #27 - Sequins, Sequins, and More Sequins

Hello everyone. We're back with our final challenge for the year. This is also a bitter-sweet post for me, since this is the last challenge that the current Design Team is making samples for. So we're going out with a bang by showcasing Sequins, Sequins and More Sequins - an iconic embellishment for Neat & Tangled, since Danielle pretty much started this trend!

Well I hope you had a lovely time with us. I sure had a great time running things behind the scene here, throwing the Birthday Bash event here with so many Neat & Tangled fans, work with such a talented Design Team, and getting to know so many new lovely faces through the challenges. I also had a wonderful time working with Danielle.

Please make a point to visit the girl's blogs and see what little parting message they have for you.

And when they new Design Team gets announced shortly, please remember to welcome them with a big, warm hello, like you have with us. I know that the new team is a fire-cracker team - and they won't disappoint with their creativity.

Lastly, we would like to wish all of you and your families a wonderful holiday. We hope you will have some time to just enjoy each other's company and look forward to a new and rewarding New Year.

Warm Wishes - Another Golden Conribution

We had a little hiccup posting this on time yesterday. But we hope you get to enjoy this card anyways from our guest designer Kristen from "So Posh Creations".

For the challenge today, I made a Christmas card! The color theme was gold and white, so elegant and festive!! First I took a piece of white cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot machine with a polka dot embossing folder. Afterwards, I die cut with a bracket die from the same piece. I adhered it to a top folding card with foam dots. Next, I took a die cut snowflake and covered it with Stickles glitter. I glued it down to my cardbase. With the stamp set, Simple Christmas I stamped a wreath in Versa Mark ink and covered it with gold embossing powder. I also did the same for the banner. I attached gold twine to the top of the wreath and tucked it under the base layer. For a finishing touch, I added some gold sequins from Neat and Tangled! :)

Thanks,
Kristen

How-to Steps to A Little Note of Thanks

So excited to be able to present this card to you as Guest Designer at Little Tangles Challenge blog! This fortnights challenge is Giving Thanks. Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in this part of the world, I do have a lot to give thanks for!

I thought I'd give you a few hints and tips to create a card similar to this, using inks, sprays, embossing powder, and of course, Neat & Tangled Stamps!

    • Cut your 6x4 inch card base to size and round the corners.
    • Stamp several Neat & Tangled Fresh Blooms flowers (12) and My Heart Sings bird (1) onto watercolour paper in Versamrk Embossing ink (or similar).  Try stamping two rows of six flowers, with the bird stamped underneath the flowers on the right-hand end.
    • Sprinkle with clear embossing powder before blasting with your heat gun.
    • Using Distressed Inks, vertically swipe the ink pad over the clear embossed images. Swipe the colours so each is just overlapping the next colour. Try using Wild Honey on the left (4 flowers), Spiced Marmalade in the centre (4 flowers & bird) and Picked Raspberry on the right(4 flowers & bird).
    • Overspray with Glimmermist, or water & perfect pearls, then dry thoroughly with your heat gun. Try using Glimmermist Twinkle Yellow, or Gold, or just plain water!
    • Fussy cut the Neat & Tangled flowers and bird. Try using a really small pair of sharp scissors, to help get around all the curly edges more easily.
    • Adhere the layered flowers in position on the card with double-sided tape.
    • Cut a strip of cardstock 6.5 inch x 1.5 inch, round the corners and die-cut "thanks" letters. Try aligning and taping the letter dies with masking tape to them hold in place before die-cutting.
    • Don't be afraid to cut your stamps to customise your sentiments. This sentiment was created using Just Hello "a note of thanks" and "o" from "hello: and Fresh Blooms "f" from "beautiful". Before you ink your sentiment, place the sentiment stamps in position on your cardstock, then press down your stamp press or stamping block to pick up the stamps from the cardstock - this will vertically align your sentiment with your negative die-cut letters. Alternatively use a ruler to measure the spaces before placing your stamps on the block. If you have a stamping block with grid-lines, you can use the lines to help align your sentiment horizontally.
    • Stamp the sentiment using a coloured ink such as Hero Arts Soft Cantaloupe.
    • Pop dot the sentiment banner across the card.
    • Pop-dot the top section and double-sided tape the bottom section of the bird and attach to the card.
I hope you are inspired to give it a go with your inks and sprays, and Neat & Tangled stamps!

    Many thanks!!!

    Lyndal

    Challenge #25 - Give Thanks

Hi everyone! We are ready for a new challenge this week. In the US we're celebrating Thanksgiving. It's just around the corner. And every culture has one or the other way of giving thanks. And if you're anything like me, you always need a battery of "Thank You" notes at hand...
